waxing information

Cleaning Instructions

  • The optimal length is approx. 1 cm-1.5 cm. Hair too short prevents the treatment, too long increases your discomfort.

  • For the procedure to be carried out correctly, we advise you to wait at least 10 days after the last shaving with a razor.

  • We encourage regular waxing every 4 weeks.

  • It is important to ensure personal hygiene of the whole body before the procedure, especially when waxing the bikini area.

  • Wax depilation can cause skin irritation, and despite the proper treatment, the skin may break on all parts of the skin. This may be due to poor skin conditions (such as allergies, inflammations, hyperpigmentation) as well as increased sensitivity. With proper care, this should disappear within a few days. (see more on this below)

  • The epidermis can sometimes be pulled off especially when using a deep bikini or underarms. This may be due to poor skin condition as well as increased sensitivity.

Before Treatment…

We should be informed about the medicines and cosmetic treatments that have an effect on the condition of the skin (vitamin A, anti-acne medicines, exfoliating-acid treatments etc.)

  • The day before the procedure please exfoliate.

  • On the day of waxing, please do not apply thick balms or creams.

I may refuse treatment…

  • if there is too much skin irritation.

  • in the event of lack of preparation for the treatment (hygiene.)

  • for inappropriate hair length (too short hair.)

  • when the client is in the process of treating skin diseases, has acne, is applying exfoliating ointments or eating vitamin A or its derivatives.

  • when the skin is irritated or has one of the following conditions:

    • tendency to dilate capillaries

    • varicose veins

    • skin disease such as mycosis.

    • when the skin is freshly tanned

    • inflammation and purulent skin

    • psoriasis

    • Fresh scars

    • Allergy to wax

    • People with low blood clotting are not recommended

Pregnancy…

is NOT a restriction to the procedure. The skin is, however, potentially more sensitive, so please inform us prior to treatment.

After treatment…

  • Exfoliate five days after the waxing

  • Moisturize the skin regularly

  • Use a sunscreen

  • Avoid sunbathing for about four days.

  • Do not use the sauna or swimming pool for about three days.

  • Take a two-day break from sport, helping prevent inflammation

  • Do not bathe in hot water immediately after

  • Do not shave the hair with a clipper between hair removal treatments
